So how are you doing? Just wondering.

I'm chillin' at the coffee shop (Joe Bucks to be exact,) and i've been thinking. I'm BUSY! So i decided to update my xanga. This week has been pretty exciting. One story in particular...

Tuesday night we began the BSM Bible Study called "REALEASE." I was trying to help lead worship, here's the thing... even though we practiced and labored to make it right, we totally did our best to screw it up in the actual set. I think it was God's way of saying, "Hey guess what, you need to get out of the way and let me move." We sang songs out of order, in the wrong key, and all kinds of stuff, but God stepped in and truly put a sense of worship in that room. I don't remember worshiping like that in a while. Awesome stuff.

Church was good last night. I love them kids. They make me proud a lot.

God works and uses situations that sometimes are not so obvious.

I think so many times we are waiting for God to drop witnessing opportunities in our lives, when infact part of the test is to see if we can make those opportunities. In 'church culture' today there is a stigmata about how we don't want to offend people. We don't want to step on toes or stick our foot in the door. I understand this concept, but is that because we are truly afraid for the feelings of the lost, or because we're afraid of persecution?

People like to talk. People like to share their opinions. There are so many situations where God's presence has lead me to talk to someone, I KNOW, but I ignored that call because of fear. It sounds cliche, but I think it's now accepted as mainstream. Who cares if someone slams the door? Don't try to do it in a way that warrants that kind of responce, but take a chance!

Today God made one of those situation come alive. I want you to pray for someone that I cant name on here right now. He's a friend of mine who i looked in the eye tonight, and felt my spirit move (Acts 17, Mark 6). I was so burdned for his salvation that I felt myself get a nervous excitement. I knew he wanted to accept. He has a lot of questions but my goal is to see his salvation this year. Pray for that please.

Pray for me that I would be a bold witness. Pray that God would show me more opportunites. Pray for your opportunities, and don't be afraid of sticking your foot in the door. God uses our boldness to verify our witness. You've heard, "don't talk the talk, walk the walk." My opinion--- "The talk is part of the walk! So don't forget to talk!"

Wow... sorry for the lack of updating. I'm not sure if anyone really reads here that often anyway. None the less, I press on.

I started seminary today. New Orleans Baptist Theological to be exact. Pray for me this semester. I'll be taking "Proclaiming God's Word," "Preaching Practicum," "Introductory Hebrew," and a "Cooperative Program Seminar." So Yeah... mainly lift me up for Hebrew. It's going to be a killer.

Interning starts tomorrow. Whoop whoop.
